Desert Spring 2019 – Food

Healthy, delicious, and plentiful SNACKS will be available throughout the weekend, including:

–  A LIGHT BREAKFAST from 8:30 am on Saturday and Sunday which will include juices, fresh fruit, muffins and breakfast bars, bagels, and hard boiled eggs.

–  A FULL LUNCH be provided on-site on Saturday and Sunday.  Lunch will include vegetarian, vegan, and/or gluten free options.

Throughout the weekend the snacks will include some vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options. 

– If  you have one or more of these dietary preferences, be sure to indicate which one(s) next to your name on the sign-in sheet at the welcome table. 
We won’t be able to cater to all dietary restrictions.  If you need special food beyond the categories above and detailed menu below, please bring it. 

2019 Detailed Menu:

The snack tables will be arranged for encourage dancers to ‘grab and go’ to avoid waiting on long lines. Just pick
up the item(s) you want and step away from the serving tables.

Friday night break around 9:00 – 9:30:  
   (1) Fruit, vegetables
   (2) Sweets: candy, chocolate, special dessert
   (3) Salty-crunchy: chips, dips, popcorn 
   (4) Protein: hummus dip with chips, nuts, almond and peanut butters.

Saturday morning breakfast 8:30 – 9:30  
   (1) Fruit, yogurt
   (2) Muffins and bagels
   (3) Hardboiled eggs  
   (4) Oatmeal
   (5) Cheddar grits
   (6) Juice

Saturday lunch. 12:00   
Choice of potato bar (baking and sweet potatoes) and chili (meat and vegetarian) with lots of toppings.  Salad

Saturday afternoon 3:00 – 3:30
A lighter version of Saturday night
   (1) Fruit, vegetables
   (2) Sweets: candy, chocolate, sweet treats
   (3) Salty-crunchy chips, dips, popcorn, rice cakes
   (4) Protein: cheese, crackers, nuts, almond and peanut butters.

Saturday night 9:00 – 9:30
   (1) Fruit, vegetables
   (2) Sweets: candy, cookies, special dessert,
   (3) Salty-crunchy: chips, dips, popcorn
   (4) Protein: cheese, nuts, almond and peanut butters

Sunday morning 8:30 – 9:30
   (1) Fruit, yogurt
   (2) Muffins and bagels
   (3) Hardboiled eggs
   (4) Oatmeal
   (5) Cheddar grits
   (6) Juice

Sunday lunch 12:00 NEW!
Grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup (gluten free bread and vegan cheese options available), coleslaw.
